Group Functions
A lot goes into making Global the incredible place it is – and it’s not just about the folks on air. Find out about the group function departments…
Legal
The main areas the Legal Department department deal are company secretarial, all things legal including contracts, T&Cs, defamation (though hopefully not often!), compliance issues including training and advice on the codes and handling Ofcom and serious listener complaints (again we hope not very often), health and safety, property and insurance issues.

PA’s
First and foremost, our PAs oversee the day to day management of the diary of whoever they support, to ensure their time is used in the most effective way, along with being an effective gate-keeper to that person and their time.
They organise national and international travel for their teams, manage events for the person they support, and the wider team as well as managing their expenses and company credit cards.
Last, but not least, they’re the friendly ‘go-to’ person in their department for anything from desk space, to stationary to the next social event.
Finance
The finance team have a wide range of duties, including ensuring accurate reporting of newly acquired entities, maintaining the Group's balance sheet and providing analysis for senior management.
They regularly produce budgets, forecasts and ad hoc financial analysis to support performance – including breakdown of costs from finance systems (CODA).
Additionally, the Finance team also prepare and participate for the annual end-of-year audit, liaising with the auditors, as well as ad-hoc analysis and reconciliations as required.
