The Digital Editorial team is at the beating heart of that operation and their job is to create and curate amazing experiences for our audience across a multitude of digital platforms. It’s a fast moving world and the Social Media Team at Global are world class specialists in meeting the challenges of this new attention economy. Working closely with the Digital Editorial, Programming, Video and Commercial teams at Global, the Social Media Team specialise in creating and distributing market leading sharable content for audiences across all major and emerging social platforms. We’re looking for smart content creators who can spot the next great meme before anyone else, understand what it takes to make someone hit the share button and can tell amazing stories with a unique tone of voice in just a few words.
We believe in code reviews, paired programming, hack time, attending conferences and investing in developers to make them better. An emphasis on quality over quantity with an aim to build great products that we’re proud of and are loved by our audiences. We also offer great opportunities to pick up new skills and we work hard to make sure that Global is a fun, creative and satisfying place for developers to work.
The Product Management team define the roadmaps and lifecycles of Global’s consumer facing digital products. This includes some of the most exciting apps and highly trafficked websites in the media industry. Our product managers work across many teams within digital and across the wider business collaborating with design, development and analytics to usher our products successfully through from concept to launch, and beyond—always with Global’s users at the heart of our strategy.
Our product designers are passionate about creating beautiful, usable, products that bring our brands to life in the digital space. The team includes specialists in user experience design, interaction design, user interface design and information architecture. They work together with the product teams to ensure that Global’s websites and apps are delightful and useful to our audience across all digital touchpoints.
Responsible for everything from the live streams of our events like the Summertime Ball and Global Awards, TV commissions, innovative interactive quizzes, magazine shows, music sessions comedy sketches, and of course the day-in day-out content that comes from our radio shows and studios, the video team are comprised of producers, editors, camera operators, production managers and creatives that pull together hundred of videos a month, driving millions of views.
